Booth’s Condition
Brave Earth Prologue
Brave Earth: Prologue is a challenging and engaging action platformer, made in the 8-bit style of the NES. While heavily inspired by classic games such as Castlevania and Ninja Gaiden, Brave Earth: Prologue strikes its own balance between methodical, high risk gameplay and aggressive, fast-paced action. Brave Earth: Prologue’s beautiful, hand crafted levels are filled with meticulously placed challenges, aiming to engage players more than frustrate them.
Play through a story that spans three characters with their own unique paths and playstyles.

Q&A
Q: What is this games strong point?
A: The game cares a lot on little details, and there’s lots of information in the background, making the whole world feel connected.
Q: Were there any difficulties when making this game?
A: I’m using a really bad engine to make this game which was a good engine at the time. Also, getting this game to display in Japanese was a challenge because the engine doesn’t support Unicode or Shift_JIS.
Q: What do you think about indie games in general?
A: I love indie games themselves and how people are able to be creative. Before indie games were a thing, I played lots of doujin games and were amazed by the fact that these games are made by a small team.
Q: Could you tell us about your future plans?
A: Though this game took 7 years to make, this game was suppose to be a small game that leads to a bigger game. Because this game is a prologue, I would be very disappointed if I didn’t continue the story.
Q: What is your goal?
A: My goal is to escape the legacy of I Wanna Be The Guy. That game will forever be what I’m known for, but if a game I make gets equally famous as I Wanna Be The Guy I’ll be happy.
