Stifled is a multi-award winning, VR and Mic-Enabled Sound-Based Stealth Thriller, where sound is the only way you see and the enemies HEAR your fear.
In Stifled, the sounds made by your in-game character and yourself through microphone input reveal the otherwise hidden world through ‘echolocation’. However, undue noise will attract the attention of creatures lurking in the darkness. To survive, you will have to tread the line between making sounds to see, and staying quiet to stay hidden.

Q:What is this games strong point?
A:For all horror games sound usually has a big role, and that’s the same for Stifled but not only is sound used as an effect, its used as a part of the gameplay which is something that has never been done before.
Q:Were there any difficulties when making this game?
A:Since we are a new studio that started after graduation, we lacked in experience. Also, because of the graphics it was difficult to balance out the effect of sound. Since it’s a horror game you have to make the player get lost in game, but at the same time make them understand what their doing.
Q:What do you think about indie games in general?
A:With indie games you have a lot of creative freedom, and we get to do what we want without having people tell us what we can an can’t do. We can decide what kind of games to make and how to make it, and to me that is indie game’s biggest attraction.
Q:Could you tell us about your future plans?
A:Stifled is mostly done, and our team has already started working on a next game. We hope to announce information about it within this year, but we probably will not do horror since we want to take a break from it.
Q:What is your goal?
A:As a studio we want to create high quality novel experience video game that has never been made before because its too risky, and not games that has already been done before. We want people to know that our studio makes the unique, creative, and fresh games no one has ever experienced before.
