We will be introducing exhibits at BitSummit 2017. In this article, we introduce the exhibit “Merkava Avalanche” along with exhibitor, Winter Crown WORKS’s comments and the booth’s atmosphere.

About Merkava Avalanche
An action game that the knight-robot plays an important role.
Its concept is the survival and high-speed battle in a huge battling field.
Check out its unique camerawork and an impressive robot battle.

Q: What did you focus the most when developing this game?
A: As you may have guessed, we focused on the camerawork and the UI’s design so that users can concentrate on the display.
We excluded the UI which is usually explained by the letter in the normal game.
For the camerawork, we were strongly influenced by the movie such as “Night Riders”.
Q: What did you find the most difficult?
A: As we reduced the use of the UI, there were some parts that were hard to move. It was difficult to establish those parts as a game.
We tried to include the necessary information into the airframe or the geography.
Q: What is the benefit of an indie game?
A: The point that you can develop the game making use of the theme which is not acceptable in the ordinary company.
We are aware that this game will receive both positive and negative points, so I do not think the ordinary company will let us develop this game.
Because it is an indie game, we can create this kind of game.
Q: Regarding the plan of releasing an unsold game?
A: We would like to release the game not only for the computer but also the family-use game.
Also, not only the high end, we want to challenge for the genre such as 2D, which we have never tried before.
Q: Exhibitor’s goal
A: There are so many ideas that we want to try, so we would like to make use of it.
Q: Regarding the plan to release an unsold game?
A: We haven’t completed developing this game yet, so we want to focus on finishing this game for a while.
