We will be introducing exhibits at BitSummit 2017. In this article, we introduce the exhibit “Mining in the dark” along with exhibitor, zato’s comments and the booth’s atmosphere.

Overview
It is a game moving forward to a light from the dark world. There is nearly no specific explanation nor the story illustration in this game, but you enjoy exploring the world like an Open World. You can see a unique outlook on the world that Mr. Zato, who wins a popularity of his past work from overseas, has created.

Interview
Q: Points that are focused on this game
A: We focused on creating an Open World where players can explore around endlessly. We eliminated the common aspects of video games such as enemies and items, and we avoided to provide an excessive explanation in the game as well. Also, this game is hugely influenced by other video games such as “ICO” and “Journey”. Therefore, we fundamentally did not rely on the words, but represented the instincts of human beings, wishing to advance towards the light or peace.
Q: The toughest part in the process of creating this game?
A: We learned 3D skills from scratch since we did not have any of the techniques. We firstly learned the usage of Mac computer because we have never used it before. Overall, everything was difficult due to our lack of techniques for the game creation.
Q: Exhibitor’s goal
A: We just want to complete the production and release the game. We are considering to release it by the PC or “Nintendo Switch.”
Q: Last comment
A: We will manage to finish creating this game for sure, so we would really like you to enjoy this game after it goes on release.
